The Big Easy Casino in Hallandale Beach, Florida is a casino and greyhound racing complex owned by Jeffrey Soffer that was once known as the Mardi Gras Casino and Hollywood Greyhound Track. Where are we presently Three years after Florida allowed parimutuel betting, on December 1, 1934, the Big Easy Casino opened as the Hollywood Kennel Club. In 1940, the stadium acquired a grandstand. Hollywood Greyhound Track started for business again in 1974.
Voters in Broward County were given the chance to decide in a statewide referendum in November 2004 whether or not to legalise the use of slot machines at establishments in their area. After much debate, voters in Broward County gave the go-ahead for slot machines at Hollywood Greyhound and other premises.
