Visiting Everglades Alligator Farm is a thrilling adventure, with alligators and exotic snakes galore and this Old Florida-themed attraction is open everyday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is great if you have kids in tow because of its compact size and lack of complexity.

The farm is a working alligator farm with over 2,000 gators, despite its planted shade trees, orchids, ponds and waterfalls. General entry is currently $25 for adults, $19 for children ages 4-11 and free for children under 4.

Guests can also see an alligator show and see them being fed during your visit and you can also purchase tickets for airboat rides and VIP experiences, among other things.

The alligators at the Everglades Alligator Farm are restrained and handled by humans using Native American-style catching tactics, which will astound you at the skill levels these people have.

This entertaining and informative show at 11, 1, 3, and 5 p.m each day will teach you all about alligators and other reptiles including crocodiles and caimans and at the conclusion of each show, guests can pose with a young alligator for a photo.

While feeding an alligator, keep watching the amazing sight as hundreds of alligators emerge from their breeding pond for lunch. You’ll get to observe these animals in their natural habitats and get to see how fast they can move and eat.

You can experience this feeding frenzy if you visit around 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., or 4 p.m. every day.

Travel By Airboat At The Everglades Alligator Farm Miami

The highlight of any trip to the Everglades Alligator Farm is definitely a ride across the glades on a high-speed airboat where you will observe alligators, turtles and tropical wading birds in their natural habitats.

The boat races through the grassy river, making sharp twists in a landscape you won’t find anywhere else in America.

Starting at $32 for adults, $24 for children ages 4-11, and free for children under 4, airboat packages include general entry, a 20-25 minute airboat ride and shows.

It is also possible to book a private, longer airboat excursion that will last between 45 and 60 minutes where you have the advantage of getting out of the boat and walking about the Everglades grasslands.

The private trip, which can accommodate up to 25 people at a price of $400 for a group of 10, is a better choice if you’re travelling with a large group (all ages) and the price of admission covers not only entry to the event but also to any performances that may be taking place.

On your way to Everglades Alligator Farm, make a pit stop at Robert Is Here, a well-known farm and fruit stand with an extraordinary variety of exotic tropical fruits, honeys, jellies and jams, many of which are produced on nearby farms in the Redland area.

What Is Available At The Everglades Alligator Farm

GROUP TOUR

For a private group of up to 10 people of any age, the cost currently is $500 but if you want to add more people it is priced at $75 per person up to 25 people in total.

The price includes Park Entry and General Admission and the airboat journey lasts for 45-60 minutes with an expert guide on hand at all times. At high speeds, the airboats whirl about on the sawgrass grasslands of the Everglades for a once in a lifetime experience as well as learning about the native fauna and wildlife of the Everglades and simple survival techniques.

It is the most luxurious private airboat trip you can find between Miami and the Florida Keys and includes a stop at a scenic spot where you can get off and explore the Everglades at your own leisure.

ALLIGATOR ENCOUNTER

The Alligator Encounter is for those who have always wanted to experience the thrill of alligator wrestling, i know there are some of you out there. You can even feed over 250 alligators ranging in size from 6 to 14 feet in the breeding pond, pet a baby alligator or crocodile and even hold one around 3 feet long, if that’s your thing.
