Fisher Island Miami

The unparalleled Fisher Island Club serves as the focal point of this luxurious tropical haven where guests and members of this premium country club and alternative to Miami Beach’s posh resorts, can enjoy some of the world’s best residential and recreational facilities.

The Vanderbilt Mansion, a local icon, is now the focal point of a complex of 15 high-end rooms. Mansion, pumphouse/Beach Club tower, Rosamund’s Studio, Rosemary’s Cottage, North/South Cottages, Guesthouse Suites, Vanderbilt Theater, and aviation hangar all make up the original property, now Spa Internazionale.

Fisher Island’s golf course, tennis center, spa, beach club and private marinas, as well as the historic Vanderbilt mansion, underwent extensive repair and reconstruction over the summer of 2013.

The endeavor to restore the landmark was undertaken with the intention of bringing it up to the standards of today’s discerning residents, members, and visitors. In the present day, Fisher Island is just as opulent and secluded as it was in the past, and it boasts the wealthiest ZIP code in the United States.

Fisher Island Day School is a private institution that serves the island’s children and those who live elsewhere in Florida until eighth grade. Lexie Potamkin and Robert Potamkin, along with Valerie and Michael Pearce, started the school in 2001.

The surrounding communities of Star Island, Hibiscus Island, Palm Island, the Venetian Islands, Bayshore, South Beach, Pinecrest, Coral Gables and Coconut Grove account for the majority of the off-island students (about 30%).

Schools on the island are part of the Miami-Dade County Public School District and include South Pointe Elementary, Nautilus Middle, and Miami Beach Senior High.

The island as a whole covers 0.36 square miles (0.94 km2) and is only reachable by ferry and the trip there is just as stunning as the destination. This private island sits close offshore from Miami Beach’s southern tip, near the city’s port. Fisher Island was once the winter mansion of William K. Vanderbilt II but is now a secluded residential area.

The resort and hotel at Fisher Island Club features a marina with deep water, beautiful beaches and pools, championship seaside golf, tennis courts with all four Grand Slam surfaces, a luxurious spa, and a variety of restaurants and bars.

The finest in luxury awaits you at this private club, where you may relax in peace and quiet but not forget that getting to and from the island takes advance planning due to the ferry timetable and security checks.
